The French Swiss Ski College believes that learning is more effective in small groups, and sizes will be limited to no more than 6 students per instructor for the 2020-21 season. For Burton LTR—anyone renting Burton LTR snowboard equipment from Appalachian Ski Mtn. can purchase a group lesson with a low 4:1 student to instructor ratio.

A lift ticket will be required to take a lesson, however, the ticket is not included in the lesson price and must be purchased separately.

We recommend it. Helmets are provided for all SKIWee and Cruiser Camp participants. The 2009/10 NSAA National Demographic Study revealed that nationwide, 76% of children age 14 and under used helmets last winter. Given that a ski lesson is designed to expand your child’s skill level, helmets are a good idea. Children taking group or private lessons may rent a helmet for as little as $3 a day.
