THE LODGE

In 1962, the original architect, William P. Reinhardt, recreated a European old-world alpine atmosphere when he designed Appalachian’s Bavarian-style ski lodge. Nestled at the base of the slopes, and overlooking the ski area, this 46,000 sq. ft. smoke-free lodge is packed with amenities for skiers and non-skiers alike. This is where you can always find a warm and cozy place just to sit and relax.

Enjoy an amazing view of the slopes from our 200’ observation deck or from the dining rooms in our restaurant. Sit, relax and warm yourself by our large stone fireplace. Our slopeside restaurant offers daily specials and healthy food choices. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The Alpine Ski Shop, located on the lower level of the lodge, carries a huge selection of top quality ski equipment, apparel and accessories. The Appalachian Gift Shop, located on the second level of the lodge, is packed with ski and snowboard related souvenirs, accessories, t-shirts and other logo apparel.

Our clothing rental operation, perhaps the world’s largest, with thousands of jackets, bibs, gloves, and goggles for adults and children, is found in the gift shop. Enjoy the free wireless internet service available in our Main Dining Room, Dining Room Annex, and our Snowcloud Room. Other amenities include: a TV room, a video game room, dressing rooms, lockers and clothes dryers.
